In February, I made an announcement on the podcast I’ve been creating since 2016.
had gone from a rejected book title (the publisher thought it was “too negative” for a book where my husband literally dies) to an idea to create space for regular people to tell the truth about the hard things in life. The things people had stopped asking about, or maybe never had.It was a case of the right idea at the right time, launching a podcast when there were merely hundreds of thousands and not millions of podcasts in the world, and soon something that I thought would be just a side project became the center of my world.
And 8 years and hundreds of episodes in, I needed a break. So I placed the show on indefinite hiatus and stepped away from something that was, by any measure, a success. For how long? I’m not sure, which is why I called the hiatus indefinite.
